My work is rooted in the principles of deep ecology, transpersonal psychology, eco-feminism, and various traditions of personal and collective myth-making, both learned and inherited. I am a storyteller, psychonauT, and a whole-systems thinker.
My passion for the relational arts springs from an upbringing rich in conversation with nature spirits, dancers, musicians, writers, and visual artists, AND continues to flow through the channels held open by the love of my ancestors. I descend from peoples who include Ashkenazi Jews, German Unitarians, Celts, AND Spanish Catholics…FARMERS, BREWERS, FURNITURE MAKERS, PAINTERS, MOTHERS, FATHERS, PEOPLE OF THE MOUNTAINS AND COASTS, AND OF EACH OTHER.
I was raised in the Rio Grande watershed of Northern New Mexico, unceded territorial lands of the of Tewa and Tanos people. I come from a working-class background and have worked alongside people from many class backgrounds.
